Personal project — Carpinteria State Beach in Southern California is one of my favorite places. When I was a kid, we would constantly check the tide chart to see if we could catch the grunion running. I researched the tide chart for the week of our trip, and traced it on to the shirt here. In this way, it’s a time stamp.
